Pacing birds

Birds will pace for many reasons. Birds sometimes pace to play with you. For example, if you were on the computer or were doing something besides paying attention to the bird, the bird will begin to pace around in circles looking at you. Once you finely give in and try to take him out, he may go to the back of the cage. He will do this again and again until night. Cockatail's and parakeets are the most known for this behavior. To end this behavior you must never give in. Birds are like children. If they don't get what they want they try to find something to bug you. After they know it bugs you, they will do it again and again to get their own way. If they ever do this, this is the best way to get them to stop: go up to the cage and open the door. If he goes to the top of the cage, he will learn what to do every time he wants something. Instead of taking it, grab your bird and drag him out. He will not like it at all and will stop doing it after he knows it will only get him what he doesn't want. Birds don't know that we have important things to do and that we want to play with them but we can't. They think that were abandoning them and they hate it when they feel unloved. You have to make it clear to them that you will play with them later. I used to put my bird on the top of his cage when I was busy doing things. He would spweek for minutes until he seen that I had head phones on. He would fly strait to my head and bit the head phones. Sometimes he would even nock them off. He now knows that I have important things to do. Remember that after every time you get done with your work to give a treat and to play with him for a bit. Praise him and say, "thank you for being patient!" then give him the treat.

How to train a bird to like you.

Birds don't like people just by looking at them, they have to know that the person is good. If they have a history of abuse then they will need a longer time to adapt to people. 3 to 4 years it takes for a abused bird to feel loved again. if you have a bird and want him/her to like you better, then here's what you do. Take a peace of cloth and lots of box's. Take the box's and put them in a circle then take the birds cage and put it in the circle of box's. put the cloth over you and the birds and leave the cage open. You also should take them out of the cage well your in there. Play with the birds in your cage of box's and have a nice time! (:
Note: you should do this once a day for 30 to 5 min-its a day.

how to train a bird to type.

welcome to the "how to train a bird" section.

how to train a bird to type.

Show your bird the A on the key board then make the bird look for it on the keyboard. Let your bird look at you type, the bird should look at you funny then try for itself, if it just goes on biting you put on gloves. Then try to teach him/her how to type. If a bird knows how to type then this site can only improve it. First try to take a stick then very slowly tap it on the key board make the bird chase the stick, if the bird chases the stick then push the stick down on the key the bird is on, this will make the bird think he/she did it, then pet the bird and say the birds name or if you are a trainer and you don't know his/her name reward him/her by giving him/her a treat and/or saying "Good boy/girl you did a very good job!" By doing this you are making him/her like to do well and him/her will do it again and again because it knows it will get attention, but it will not do this the first time you do it. You need to do this at least 67 times before he/she knows that you are going to give him/her a treat. If your bird/bird's are/is crazy and are/is not used to being held, but once they see you type they calm down, this may mean your birds are paying attention and want to learn how to make a weird looking object on the screen. This is a good habit. You should keep the bird close to you when your on the computer typing. This may be a long time before your bird learns to do this just by you saying, type the A on the computer, for a bird doesn't like to be told what to do if you didn't train it to do your command, like if you said "go pick up the small green ball" but you didn't train it to do that all it hears is you talking in a language no bird understands.

Pete today:

hello my name is Pete nhgcdec

She is not so good. The reason it looks half good is because she's a parakeet and she wasn't heavy so she just ran over the letters and we typed them out.
